Spring 2014 - Accelerated Online Program

Accelerated Online Programs are offered during two sessions, approximately 8 weeks in length within the term. Each session will have individual academic calendars and grade reporting periods. The session dates for the Spring semester are:

Session A: January 13 - March 7
Session B: March 17 - May 9

Registration/Academic Dates - AOP Session A
October 21, 2013

Registration for Spring AOP Session A begins. See Registration Schedule for more information.

November 15

Last day for all graduate students new to UNT and all former graduate students (those who have not been enrolled at least once during the 12 consecutive months prior to the semester for which they are seeking admission and/or who have received a degree from UNT since their last enrollment) to submit a graduate admission application for regular registration.

Last day for graduate students to request change of major in the graduate dean's office prior to registration.

January 2

Fee payment deadline is 5:00 p.m. for registration that has occurred from October 21 - 4:30 p.m., January 2.

4:30 p.m. - 11:59 p.m. - Registration access is temporarily unavailable due to mandatory processing.

January 9

6:00 p.m. Fee Payment deadline for registration that has occurred as of 5:30 p.m., January 9.

Last day for applications for graduate admissions to be accepted.

January 12

Last day for 100 percent refund. See more information about refunds.

January 13

Classes Begin

January 15

Last day for 80 percent refund of tuition only if withdrawing from the session (dropping all courses). See more information about refunds.

January 21

Census date.

Last day to drop a course (not withdrawing from the semester) and receive refund. Subsequent drops require instructor's written consent.

Last day for 50 percent refund of tuition only if withdrawing from the Session A (dropping all classes).

Last day for any partial refund of tuition upon withdrawal.

January 22

Beginning this date, a student who wishes to drop a Session A course must first receive written consent of the instructor. A grade of W is assigned.

February 4

Last day for a change in pass/no pass status on Session A courses.

Last day to drop a course or withdraw from the university with a grade of W for courses that the student is not passing.
After this date, a grade of WF may be recorded.

Note: Dropping all courses constitutes withdrawing from the university for the semester. Must see Dean of Students.

February 5

Beginning this date, instructors may drop students with grade of WF for nonattendance.

February 7

Mid semester.

February 13

Last day for a student to drop a course with consent of the instructor.

Last day for an instructor to drop a students with a grade of WF for nonattendance.

Last day to withdraw from Session A. Process must be completed by 5:00 p.m. in the Dean of Students Office.

February 14

Beginning this date, a student who qualifies may request a grade of I. See the Graduate Catalog for more information.

Last day to apply for Spring graduate graduation without paying a late fee. Must be in good standing to file for graduation.

March 7

Final Exams.

AOP Session A Ends.

Last day to file graduate degree graduation application with late fee. Graduate graduation applications received after this date will be processed for Summer graduation. Must be in good standing to file for graduation.

May 9

May 9 - 10

March 28

Last day for departments to report to the graduate dean's office the results of final comprehensive examination for graduating master's students.

Last day for master's and doctoral candidates to complete foreign language requirement for degree(If applicable).

April 8

Last day for a change in pass/no pass status on AOP Session B courses.

Last day to drop a course or withdraw from the university with a grade of W for courses that the student is not passing. After this date, a grade of WF may be recorded.

April 9
