Spring 2014 - Registration

When: 7:00 a.m., October 21, 2013 – 5:30 p.m., January 9, 2014* (depending on classification)

Who: For continuing students only (enrolled Spring, Summer, and/or Fall 2013).

All new undergraduate students must attend orientation before they may register. For information, see orientation.unt.edu or contact the Office of New Student Programs at 940-369-8397 or 940-565-4198.

Description:

Students should contact the department of their major for specific information related to advising and registration.

Registration will be temporarily unavailable from 4:30 p.m. - 11:59 p.m., January 2 for mandatory processing.

Registration will resume at 12:00 a.m., January 3 and continue until 5:30 p.m., January 9.

Payment Deadline:

Fee payment deadline is 5:00 p.m., January 2 for registration that has occurred from 7:00 a.m., October 21 through 4:30 p.m., January 2.

Fee payment deadline is 6:00 p.m., January 9 for registration from 12:00 a.m., January 3 through 5:30 p.m., January 9.

Payment arrangements must be completed by the deadline, or your registration request will be canceled. Account balances for the Spring semester will be available at my.unt.edu. Once you complete registration, go to EIS Student Center to view your bill.

November 15

Last day for all graduate students new to UNT and all former graduate students (those who have not been enrolled at least once during the 12 months prior to spring and/or who have received a degree from UNT since their last enrollment) to submit graduate admission applications for spring semester regular registration. Graduate applications received after this deadline must be accompanied by all official transcripts.

Graduate students who submit applications after this date, if accepted, will register during late registration and pay late registration fee.

Some departments have earlier deadlines. Please refer to college/departmental information in the Graduate Catalog for additional admission deadlines.

No applications for graduate admission for the Spring semester will be accepted after January 9.

Last day for graduate students to request change of major in the Toulouse Graduate School prior to spring registration.

December 1

Last day for all undergraduate students new to UNT to submit undergraduate admission applications for spring semester regular registration. Any undergraduate applications received after this deadline must be accompanied by all official transcripts and test scores. The student must meet the stated admission requirements and will register during late registration and pay a late registration fee.

Individual exceptions to the stated undergraduate admissions requirements cannot be considered after this date.

No applications for undergraduate admission for the Spring semester will be accepted after January 8.

NOTE: Students who hold a bachelor’s degree or higher must apply to the Toulouse Graduate School before they may continue enrollment.

January 2

Registration resumes through 5:30 p.m., January 9.

Fee payment deadline is 6:00 p.m. for registration that has occurred from January 3 - 5:30 p.m., January 9.

Payment arrangements must be completed by 6:00 p.m., or your registration request will be canceled and you will not be registered. To pay your bill, go to my.unt.edu.

Advising

Students who are seeking advising should contact the office of their advisor 1-2 weeks in advance of the scheduled registration time for an appointment.

Note: During Orientation, undergraduate advisors are primarily assisting new students and, therefore, are not as available for appointments with continuing students.

Fee Payment

Fee payment deadline is 5:00 p.m., January 2 for registration that has occurred 7:00 a.m., October 21 through 4:30 p.m., January 2.

Fee payment deadline is 6:00 p.m., January 9 for registration that has occurred from 12:00 a.m., January 3 through 5:30 p.m., January 9.

Bills will not be mailed for the Spring semester. Go to EIS self-service online at my.unt.edu for your account balance and schedule information. Account balance information will be available at my.unt.edu once you complete registration. Go to EIS Student Center to view your bill.

Fee payment arrangements must be completed by the deadlines stated above, or your registration requests will be canceled and you will not be registered. Students must pay their total due amount or the first payment of the installment plan if they select the installment plan option. Students receiving financial aid or scholarships must have enough anticipated aid to cover their total due amount or the first payment of the installment plan posted to their account by 5:00 p.m. January 2.

Paying by cash Go to the Student Accounting and University Cashiering Services in the Eagle Student Services Center (see map).
Using the installment plan Go to my.unt.edu. Sign in. Click the My Page tab. Click Make a Payment. Click the Installment Plan button under the Account Services tab. The installment plan is posted to your account when installment payment is made.
Applying for a short term loan Go to my.unt.edu. Sign in. Click the My Page tab. Click Make a Payment. Click the Enroll in Payment Plan option. Click on Short Term Loan tab. You will automatically be placed on the installment plan when receiving a Short Term Loan.
